I know people who do things like that. they don’t make as much as you might think.

LOL I’m with you on the whole tuna sentiment. I do not like it at all and my husband who loves tuna can’t understand. Then again he loves deep sea fish and I’m not big on fish at all. xD

10 for $5 holy crap. Buy 5 cases and ship them to me I could make a killing if I re sold them for $5 a pop.

there’s a place down the street from me that sells 6 month old ones 10 for $5. but with a shelf life of 10 years they’re just fine. and again no if I have a choice I wouldn’t eat them day in and day out but then in my book they rank about the same as canned meat.

I have never seen a full MRE for that price and I pay dealer prices for all that stuff. The best you can get them for is 4.50 bucks a pop for old stock and a new one would cost me 6 bucks. I just don’t think it’s good for a home food stock. A bug out situation yes but eating one MRE a day for any extended piriod of time is not something I want to do.

1200 calorys is ration for a day. they provide enough vitamins and minerals, and if you can get them at reasonable places $0.50-$2.60. for a full kit. taiste can’t help you with.

MRE’s are good for short term emergencies but there not good for you and are expensive. I have 12 MRE’s in my stash but i don’t want to eat them everyday if I don’t have to. They taste bad most of the time, they make you constipated, there EXTREMELY high in calories. There designed for use when your going to be doing a lot of physical exertion and need something quick and portable. Good to have around but they should only take up a small part of your stock.

expected more along the lines of mre.
